Our mission is to ensure injured veterans and their families are thriving long after they return home. That’s why we find and fund innovative programs in communities where veterans, their families and caregivers live and work. That’s how we tackle the problems that can prevent our veterans from fulfilling their dreams for the next chapter of their lives.
In every community, boys and girls are left to find their own recreation and companionship in the streets. An increasing number of children are at home with no adult care or supervision. Young people need to know that someone cares about them. Boys & Girls Clubs offer that and more. Club programs and services promote and enhance the development of boys and girls by instilling a sense of competence, usefulness, belonging and influence.
The Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors (TAPS) offers compassionate care to all those grieving the death of a loved one serving in our Armed Forces. Since 1994, TAPS has provided comfort and hope 24 hours a day, seven days a week through a national peer support network and connection to grief resources, all at no cost to surviving families and loved ones.
The Family Abuse Center offers a free, safe and confidential place for adults and children to begin to experience life without violence. Our profession staff listen, advocate and provide moral support to all those seeking our services. We offer counseling, transportation help, job and life skills education, and more. We exist to eliminate domestic violence in Central Texas by sheltering victims of domestic violence and by preventing abuse from occurring through intervention and education.
Luke’s Wings unites wounded warriors, veterans and heroes with their loved ones when they need them most. Their mission is to bring together veterans and wounded warriors that otherwise would not be able to be with their friends and family in their time of need.
