Robert Lee Griffin III was born in Okinawa, Japan on February 12, 1990 to Army Sergeant Robert Lee Griffin Jr. and Army Sergeant Jacqueline Marie Griffin. He is the youngest of three children among his two sisters, Jihan & Dejon Griffin. Robert spent part of his childhood living in New Orleans, Louisiana, in conditions that gave him a true understanding of what it means to struggle, and the sacrifices and dedication it takes to rise up and to prosper.
Robert is a military kid who has traveled all over the world and had to adapt to changing environments and cultures his whole life. Once his parents were divinely assigned to Fort Hood Texas his life would never be the same. Robert attended Copperas Cove High School, where on top of his athletic achievements he was able to graduate ranked 7th in a graduating class of 440.
After graduating HS a year early, he enrolled at Baylor University where he earned his Bachelors Degree in Political Science with a minor in Communications in just 3 years. During his final season of college football, he came within a pending completion of a thesis to get his Masters Degree in Corporate Communications with a focus on film and digital media.
